Mike is a male chinchilla. He and his wife, Molly, were rescued from a fire and donated to our classroom in 2011. He and Molly have had four babies since we got them. A chinchilla's fur is as soft as Charmin bath tissue...actually it's softer. Each day, they take a dust bath. It's really fun to watch. We love our chinchillas!
